The most highly regarded book in the field is definitely Gray's Anatomy.
Principles of Anatomy and Physiology Toratora and someone else. Good explanations and lots of pictures.
instead of giving a list of books i've found this site more useful.

have u tried studying from GUYTON,its easy and has lot of info
Best and Taylor, if you ask for the best book and for you regular usuage ganong
GUYTON's Human Physiology is good.. its reader friendly..
try the other one its Lange's i think.. its nice too
Gray's anatomy is not physiology. If you want the most straightforward, clearly explained one I'd definetly go for Berne and Levy's (which is the same one referred to as Mosby up there which is the publisher)If you want the most complete one, Guyton, but it's too extensive to read easily.
I would say Guyton (rather simple). I have tried other local books (Romanian) and they don't match. Try reading from at least 2 books and find which one you like best. Try asking one of your teachers, they'll be happy to recommend one for you (the one they like best or the one they teach from).
i would recommend you to go for either GUYTONS PHYSIOLOGY
or
GANONGS PHYSIOLOGY
GUYTON's
