Which of these 2 chemicals would make the best muscle relaxant and why?

Chemical A: binds and blocks acetylcholine receptors of muscle cellsChemical B: floods the cytoplasm of muscle cells with calcium ions
Answers:
I would say A.If ACh receptors are blocked, then the action potential chain reaction is never started, the sarcolemma's terminal cisternae are never activated (and so PREVENTS the release of calcium ions). The release of calcium ions is what opens the G actin active sites on the thin filament and allows the myosin heads to start tugging on them and causes tension in the muscle.
Flexaril is a great muscle relaxant. I have been taking it for quite some time with no problems. Someone on the list posted a few weeks ago that they spoke with their relative who is a doctor and he told them that Flexaril doesn't cause other problems and is not addictive.

hey, im not 100 percent sure on this one, but i think if you flood the cytoplasm with calcium ions the muscles will contract and u want them to relax. so i would go with A. i think every muscle relaxant works with acetylcholine. to double check, do a search on Flexeril on webmd or any medical site. hope this helps
